How To Be Right With God
".... how can a man be in the right before God? "
And the multitudes were questioning him, saying, "Then what shall we do?"
They said therefore to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"
Now when they heard this they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?"
For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them." Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident ....
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy ....
