The Extent of Man's Sin
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
"Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die."
Those who forsake the law praise the wicked ....
"For you hate discipline, and you cast My words behind you. When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you associate with adulterers.
"Because I called, and you refused; I stretched out my hand, and no one paid attention; .... Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD. They would not accept my counsel, they spurned all my reproof. So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be satiated with their own devices. For the waywardness of the naive shall kill them, and the complacency of fools shall destroy them. But he who listens to me shall live securely, and shall be at ease from the dread of evil."
