Community Organizations:

KAXE Northern Community Radio airs the "Phenology Show" with John Latimer on Tuesdays from 6:50 - 7:30 am and "Phenology Plus" on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. "A Talk on the Wild Side" with John Latimer and Harry Hutchins airs on Tuesday from 7:40 - 8:00 am. Both of these shows discuss the unique natural features of the KAXE listening area, a week by week account of the seasonal cyclical progression of natural events, and sometimes feature guests knowledgeable with the area's natural resources. Listeners can share their nature observations, which are broadcast during the "Talk Back"
segment of the Phenology program. Birders in the area might be particularly interested in (sometimes unusual) bird sightings and information shared by listeners and the hosts. KAXE is also a good resource to find about about community events. KAXE airs on 91.7 in Grand Rapids, 105.3 in Bemidji, and
89.9 in Brainerd.

As long as you're up north, why not also bird Voyageur Country?
